Jessica Edwards (jessibess) | 11 comments Hello all,

The last thing I wanted to do was join a group asking readers to review my book, but I'm really struggling.
I wrote a book in April which took me about a year and a half to finish. I'm really proud of this book because it's my first ever piece of writing.

This Paranormal book is about an eighteen year old girl called Alice Smith who one night gets mysteriously bitten by a wolf.
I don't want to give too much away, but there's a mystery in it, romance, a foul mouthed best friend and a gang of wolves lead by Ryder King.
BUT IT HAS A CLIFFHANGER!
(The second book is being written right now)

I'd really appreciate it if anyone would review it for me, I'm such an unmotivated teenager, but my dream is to become a professional author.
Without reviews on this book, I can't become a better writer, and that's what I strive to become - a better writer.

If anyone wishes to read it, it's available on the Kindle - it's also available on the Kindle Unlimited.

Thank you! :)X

Dan (goodreadscomdan_salerno) | 7 comments Hi Jessica, congratulations on completing and publishing your first book! A few practical suggestions.
1. Is your book available at no cost on Kindle/Kindle Unlimited? If not, you might consider offering to send a pdf file of your book via email, in exchange for an honest review. (Make it extremely easy for readers to review your book.)
2. If you have a hard copy version of your book, consider a Goodreads giveaway. And when the winners are selected, encourage them to write an honest review. (I've done 10 giveaways on Goodreads, which have resulted in many solid reviews.)
3. Begin to reach out to authors that you like. Offer to review their books, in exchange for getting a review of yours.
4. If you have a blog, offer to interview other authors you admire who may not have a large following. You'd be surprised how many authors will take you up on your offer. Besides, being kind and supportive nourishes your soul!

Your instincts are absolutely correct, in wanting readers to offer a review, so you can get feedback.

All the best to you Jessica!
