Brittany | 1 comments I finished it today. Really liked it, especially Ranger parts. But is there a spoiler thread yet? I have a couple of questions, but don't want to post in a thread where people don't have fair warning about being spoiled.

What was the secret item on Grandma's bucket list? I didn't see it revealed anywhere.

Jbrownsberger | 1 comments I just finished Top-Secret 21 and was just wondering how much time has passed between book 1 and book 21. I got the impression book one was in the mid nineties as she didn't have a cell phone and there was reference to Big Dog t-shirts, spandex shorts, flannel shirts, and Doc Martens. In the last 2 books everyone has smartphones and are texting each other and there was a reference to Harry Potter, twitter and facebook. I don't get the impression from the story line that more than few years have passed but the pop culture references have spanned 10+ years. Any thoughts?

Rhonda | 4 comments Love reading the book top secret twenty-one.

M (bookrustler) | 7 comments Plenty of laugh out load moments--it's disconcerting to my husband ; even when I explain he just shakes his head and walks away. After 21 books it's just not possible to explain Stephanie Plum's world--you just gotta read em.

JE has mentioned before that time doesn't move very much in the Plum books. In my head, I tend to think it has been 3-4 years since book 1 up to the point of 21.

For Brittany, I listened to the audiobook, but I recall 2 items on Grandma's bucket list, get Grandma Bella, see Ranger naked, did I miss some items?"

She had listed several things: 1) new boobs, 2) see Ranger naked, 3) march in a parade, 4) get back at Bella, 5) take out a bad guy, and 6) was a big secret. She managed 2, 4, and 5. I was wondering if the secret one was ever revealed or if it was just something that was never addressed.

*** spoiler ***I listened to this via audio at work. When Ranger had yell BABE to get Stephanie to come get Gma out of the bathroom (when she was staring at him) I almost laughed myself right out of my cube. Though I know Gma knocked a few things off her bucket list I'd say that one was the best :)

Kristen | 12 comments Okay I just finished this book and I loved the humor as always. Here's my thoughts.

(view spoiler) I'm sure I'll come up with more thoughts when I start my second read.

Top Secret Twenty-One (Stephanie Plum, #21) by Janet Evanovich Top Secret Twenty-One was everything I expected and more. I am never disappointed in the Stephanie Plum series. I, unfortunately, read it out of order, but loved it just the same. I found my self laughing out load at times, especially with the comical Lula and Grandma Mazur. Janet Evanovich has a wonderful wit and can really peg realistic characters. Some others reviews thought it was the same ole' same ole'. My philosophy is "don't fix it if it aint broke." I haven't read her books for a while, so I really had a great time reading this one and will back track to read #20. I fell in love with Morelli and Ranger all over again. That in itself is true bliss. I would give it more than 5 for a review.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 332 comments As always, Top Secret Twenty-one is one laugh out loud situation after another. Everyone around me this week has been subjected to spontaneous outbursts. I don't read reviews for books I am going to read. I want to explore the book on my own without someone else's biased opinion in my mind. After reading the book I went back and read some reviews. There were a lot of nasty opinions. Apparently, Janet Evanovich failed to live up to their lofty expectations. Me, I'm just along for the awesomely fun ride.
