Kinda starting to get a story . . . I am thinking the first few chapters just feel random and disjointed, but are really just setting things up.

Chapter 3 was a 10 page letter with no paragraph breaks - I need paragraph breaks - it was driving me crazy!

The story takes a number of turns, not just in plot but in character. You have to re-learn how to read it every time the focus shifts. It feels a bit like a set of related novellas.
