Sky Is Everywhere Ch 1-14

(view spoiler)[ Even though this is a story about a sister who dies, I smiled and chuckled through the first chapters.

Not sure it is a good idea Lenny and Toby be together. They are grieving and I do think that is the attraction.

I am hoping Lenny and Joe are together in the end.

Lenny's inability to resist Toby is getting a bit too much.

I do enjoy the family scenes. They are an odd but loving family. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-20

I agree with you Geri (view spoiler)[ that what's going on between Lennie and Toby is not good. I don't think they're really attracted to each other. It's just a way to grieve. (hide spoiler)]

Now when (view spoiler)[Lennie and Joe are falling in love with each other, I feel like things Are starting to be too well. I have a feeling sonething will happen that will bring them apart. Probably something with Toby. (hide spoiler)]

I hope (view spoiler)[ the girls' mother won't come tumbling into the story. I usually don't like the twists in the stories when missing/dead people reappear. It's just more realistic if they stay gone. (hide spoiler)]

I am curious about Lenny's mother. Did she really just leave because she is restless?

There was a lot that Lenny's sister kept from her! She was pregnant and getting married. Lenny would not have taken this well, since Lenny was worried her sister would one day leave like her mother.

I finally started reading this today. So far I've only read 5 chapters so I'll join the discussion when I'm a bit further along.

I felt badly for Gram. She told Lenny's mother to never come back if she left. Glad we did find out more about their mother.

I agree with you both (view spoiler)[ that the relationship between Lenny and Toby is unhealthy. I have a feeling it's going to cause trouble and maybe separate Lenny and Joe for a while. To be honest, I find it a bit annoying that Lenny's making out with both Toby and Joe. I mean, how hard can it be to not kiss and fool around with your dead sister's boyfriend?! (hide spoiler)]

I also (view spoiler)[ want to know what happened to Lennie's mother. Why did she leave? At first I thought she's drug addict or something but I don't know... Maybe she just never really wanted children. (hide spoiler)]

I understand (view spoiler)[ that Lenny is grieving and all that, but I think she is not being a very good friend to Sarah. I feel like Sarah is trying her best to give Lenny space and help her heal but Lenny's basically ignoring her efforts. It's not like she has to hang out with Sarah every day. So...(view spoiler)[ Joe found out about Lenny and Toby. That wasn't too surprising. I can't really feel sorry for Lenny though. She definitely brought it on herself. She knew what happened between Joe and Genevieve but that didn't keep her from kissing Toby. Joe seems like a nice guy and didn't deserve to be treated like that. (hide spoiler)]

I definitely agree (view spoiler)[ that it was kind of ridiculous that Lenny thought dressing sexy would make Joe forgive her. It was way too obvious why she was dressing like that anyway. Joe would have been pretty dumb not to realize what Lenny was trying to do. (hide spoiler)]

I'm also happy (view spoiler)[ we learned a little more about what happened to Lenny's mother. I can understand why Gram would blame herself for the absence of her daughter but I don't think it was her fault. I think you can only blame the mom if she decides to abandon her kids and not even try to come back . (hide spoiler)]

Another reason (view spoiler)[ Bailey may not have told Lenny about her pregnancy, may be that she was nervous about Lenny's reaction. Lenny was afraid of being abandoned again. Like she was by her mother. Eventually, Bailey would have to tell. There would be no way to hide it. (hide spoiler)]

I thought the book was just okay. Some parts were too much, too silly.

I kind of agree. This was ok but not spectacular. I liked I'll give you the sun better, even though I must say it had some similar elements.
