Sorry for the late start in getting this month's read set up. Who is here to read Ready Player One with me? What have you heard about this book? Do you have high or low expectations? And last, but not least, did you live in the 80s?? haha.

Lux Monahan | 4 comments I am going to get to it, but not until later on in the month. I have a few too many books on the go already and need to clear a few first.

Sharon Forbes (sharonaforbes) | 15 comments Hi, Krista!! I read Ready Player One several years ago, as my older sister recommended it to me, but I'm up for rereading it, if I can squeeze it in this month!! I grew up in the 80s, very much love 80s music(esp, what was called 'New Wave' back then, groups like Duran Duran, Wham, Culture Club, etc,) such great memories for me!! I don't usually care much for dystopian novels, but I remember kinda liking this one!! I still have it in my Nook library, I believe, so going to go find it!!

Debbi Faust I am in for this month but I am wondering if this is a book I will like. BUT in saying that I wondered the same thing about Station Eleven and I ended up loving it. That is one of the things about groups like this and Booktube. You listen to recommendations and then read books ( and enjoy) that you would have never picked up on your own.

Happy reading everyone!

Whether or not you re-read, feel free to hop into the discussions and let us know what you thought about this book when you read it!

I am glad you're being brave and trying another book that you might not have otherwise! I hope Ready Player One doesn't disappoint! I look forward to hearing what you think. I love getting so many recommendations and am so glad I started this group so that I have the accountability to read some of these off my ever-growing tbr!

Diane | 22 comments Hi! I am going to try to read along this month (finally!). I have heard a lot about this book so I am excited to read it. I was a teenager in the late 1980s so this book should bring back some memories.

I can't wait to hear how you like all the 80s culture references. I laughed out loud when the good ole Commodore 64 was mentioned. It's the first computer I remember my family owning!
