Science Book Club discussion

I am thinking that this book would not work very well as an ebook.

Does anyone know if there is any difference between the hardcover and softcover editions? The hardcover is cheaper on amazon.ca, but if the softcover is updated or corrected then it would be worth paying a little more for it.

If you are planning to buy this book my advice will be to take this as a huge undertaking and buy a hardcover.

And buy it if and only if you are compelled to actually do the mathematics underlying the physics concepts. As you progress through mathematics can become little harder.

I want to do the math, I just never seem to get going on it. I am thinking that The Road to Reality: A Complete Guide to the Laws of the Universe may work for someone that is doing this as a hobby.
