"N or M?" by Agatha Christie
TBR since: December 07, 2014.
Finished: July, 2017.
Rating:★★★★★
Comment: Another Christie book and another Tommy & Tuppence one. This one felt more like the detective couple, with the whole spy feel to it. I love how smart and brave Tuppence is and how she is the one to risk herself and gets active with the investigation...and I believe she is the one who uncovers most of the mysteries (even though Tommy gets more recognized by the government). I like how in tune the couple is with each other. Not my favorite Christie's detectives, but I still like their adventures, they are always entertaining and light.
Book #38:

"The Bane Chronicles" by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, Maureen Johnson, Cassandra Jean
TBR since: December 27, 2014.
Finished: July, 2017.
Rating:★★★★★
Comment:Magnus Bane is by far one of my favorite characters in the Shadowhunters series. He's always humorous, sarcastic and overall amazing. Having an entire book of short stories focused on him and his relationship with the Shadow world was amazing. And I love how some of those connects to events in all the planned series for the Shadowhunters universe - TMI, TID, TDA and TLH. My favorite chronicles were definitely "The Midnight Heir", "Vampires, Scones and Edmund Herondale" and "What To Give A Shadowhunter Who Has Everything". Magnus dialogue's with the slimy demon about his love life with Alec was just hilarious.
Book #39:

"Tales From The Shadowhunter Academy" by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, Maureen Johnson, Robin Wasserman
TBR since: February 13, 2016.
Finished: July, 2017.
Rating:★★★★★
Comment: And if The Bane Chronicles was all about Magnus, this collection of short stories is all about Simon after the events of City of Heavenly Fire and his struggle to become a Nephilim. I love how Simon's character developed during TMI and how we can see the reflection of this during this book. I like how it also prepares for the events of TDA and we get to see more of the Nephilim's customs and traditions, unlike we got from TMI and TID, because they were focused on discovering the Shadow World. I got attached to this new characters introduced here and I can't wait to see them in the next series! Also, THE ENDING. I was sobbing after I finished the last tale. WHY ARE YOU SO MEAN, CASSANDRA? WAS IT REALLY NECESSARY? Ugh, I'm so bitter about this still. My favorite tales where "The Lost Herondale", "Bitter of Tongue" and my favorite of all, "Born to the Endless Night". SO MUCH MALEC,YAY!
Book #40:

"Lady Midnight" by Cassandra Clare
TBR since: October 12,2016
Finished: July, 2017.
Rating:★★★★★
Comment:I liked Emma and Julian since City of Heavenly Fire and was really excited for their trilogy, but OMG THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD! This series is so much darker than TMI and TID, much more adult and it deals with more mature issues. It was fast paced from the beginning and I was excited about the mystery and the characters. I love the Blackthorn family and Emma is such a badass, amazing character. I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE my precious bb Julian, the poor guy suffered so much this entire time and has so much burden on his shoulders. Ugh, I just want to protect him. I may not have liked Mark much at the beginning, but as the story went on, I got to understand his character a little better and ended up loving him as well. The only one that didn't click much for me was Kieran. There were so many good moments and so many jaw-dropping plot twists, I couldn't put it down and right afterwards I had to pick up Lord of Shadows to read, even though I knew the final book will only be out in 2019 and now I'm MAD because LoS left me sobbing on the floor and I need to know what happens next.

"A Thousand Pieces of You" by Claudia Grey
TBR since: September 12,2015
Finished: July 26, 2017.
Rating:★★★
Comment:Having already read "Dark Matter" in the beginning of the year, it was easier to understand the concept of this book, which is somewhat similar in the sciency aspect of it, except it's an YA novel, therefore much more simpler and more focused on the romance aspect. I liked the book, it was an easy read and I liked the mysteries and the settings and even the main characters, but it was the light read I needed after all the Cassandra Clare books. It was nothing amazing, though. I will continue to read the trilogy, though, because I have a feeling things will get more intense in the next book.
Book #42:

"The Demon in the Woods" by Leigh Bardugo
TBR since: August 25, 2016.
Finished: August 01, 2017.
Rating:★★★★★
Comment:The prequel of sorts to the Grisha trilogy. It was interesting to read more about the Darkling before he turned into the Darkling as well as his motivations. It gave his character even more complexity and it made me appreciate him even more.
Book #43:

"The Mistake" by Elle Kenedy
TBR since: January 10, 2016.
Finished: August 04, 2017.
Rating:★★★★★
Comment:I finally got to get on with this series! Logan was such a bb and Gracie is funny and nerdy and amazing. I also loved their chemistry and their romance. And I like how Elle Kennedy doesn't focus only on the romance & hot stuff aspect of the story - the book deals with other themes, like pursuing dreams and taking responsibilities and addiction...the characters get through a lot of development, and it's so well done without losing the fun and cute side of it. I really want to finish the entire series soon.
Book #44:

"Prodigy" by Marie Lu
TBR since: June 01, 2015.
Finished: July 27, 2017.
Rating:★★★
Comment:It took me a while to really get into this book, because at first the pacing was slower than the previous books and Day's actions were getting on my nerves a bit, as well as Tess. I do love June's character and I came to adore Anden as well and how their dynamic worked in this book. After the first half, things got more fast-paced and I was hooked - I finished the last 100 or so pages in a sitting. The ending didn't left that much for the next book, though, except a few shocking revelations at the end. Not the best in the series, I think, but I liked it.
Book #45:

"Champion" by Marie Lu
TBR since: June 01, 2015.
Finished: August 08, 2017.
Rating:★★★★
Comment:Another series/trilogy finished this year, yay! I really liked this final book, it was fast paced from the get go, it wrapped everything perfectly and allowed room for a lot of character growth for some of the characters and the ending was bittersweet but the perfect one for this story. I love Marie Lu's plot twists, although some of those here were a little bit predictable. Also, I love how complex her characters are. A good ending to a good trilogy!

"Proposal" by Meg Cabot
TBR since: December 31,2015
Finished: July, 2017.
Rating:★★★★★
Comment:After so long, it's nice to go back to this world! I love Meg Cabot and I love the Mediator series! Suze's humor and sarcasm and general badassery is just great to read and I love her character. We see Jesse back too and he's just as swoony as in the main novels. This novella is set a few years after the 6th book in the series, with Suze in college and working as a mediator still, while Jesse is at med school and it's the connection between the main series and the final installment, Remembrance.
Book #47:

"Spirit Bound" by Richelle Mead
TBR since: December 26,2014
Finished: September 22, 2017.
Rating:★★★★
Comment:This was way better than the previous book in a lot of ways, but Rose is becoming so selfish and just irritating. She's hurting a lot of people because of her obsession with Dimitri, including Adrian, who is a precious puppy who doesn't deserve the things she's putting him through. And Dimitri. Everything the guy wanted was to be with Rose (yep, in a obsessive Strigoi way), but the minute he has a chance to redeem himself and finally be with her, he shuns her. WHY? Ugh, I'm starting to really dislike his character. BUT, the ending was very good and fast paced and got me curious for the next book.
July was a VERY good month for me, I ended up reading almost 10 full books, 8 of them counting for this challenge and was over my awful reading slump. August is being a good month as well, I started the month reading 7 books, 5 of them counting for this challenge and am on my way with another 3. And I am only one book away from the top of Mt. Ararat! Hopefully I'll make to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro by December!

"The Cuckoo's Calling" by Robert Gailbraith
TBR since: 2016
Finished: September, 2017.
Rating:★★★★★ - actual rating: 4.5 stars
Comment:I've been so curious about this series for a while, because it's J.K. Rowling with a more adult read and this got a lot of good reviews. And it didn't disappoint at all! I was instantly enthralled with the characters, the mystery...I love how the main characters relantionship evolves through the book and we get to understand Cormoran's past while he uncovers the mystery. And the ending was actually surprising! I started to suspect 3/4 in, but I wasn't expecting the book to confirm it and I really liked the ending! Can't wait to pick up the other books in the series so far!
Finally updating my challenge! It's been a while and I've been distracted with some shiny new books and not as much time to read. BUT, I did managed to reach Mt.Ararat's peak and am almost halfway through Kilimanjaro already, so I'm happy! With 2 months to go, I'm certain I can at least reach the same peak I did last year.
