Carly Waldman | 1 comments Curious of what everyone would recommend for this prompt, I like looking at all different options.

My Sister's Grave (1*)
Notes to My Mother-in-law (4*)
The Mothers (1*)
The Zookeeper's Wife: A War Story (2*)

Lindsey Salloway (lsalloway) | 10 comments I read The Baker's Daughter for this prompt and really enjoyed it!

message 8: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Presotti | 23 comments I read The Bonesetter's Daughter by Amy Tan and it was such a good read.

message 9: by Jo (new)

Jo (allweatherreader) | 50 comments I was going to read Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance but I was given The Unmumsy Mum and I've read that instead - it's ace.

message 10: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachmo) | 67 comments I was going to go with My Cousin Rachel but think I'll use that for film released this year and read Travels With My Aunt instead.

message 11: by Melody (new)

Melody | 208 comments I read The Tiger's Wife by Téa Obrecht. It was a fairly engrossing and deep read; a magical realist tale about a girl, her grandfather, a man who cannot die, and a tiger and their place in WWII and the Yugoslavian Civil Wars.

If anyone is still looking for a book set in two time periods or a book with a cat on the cover, this title would also work for those prompts.
