So how many people do we have? Also, when are we starting and how much do we read each day? We need to come up with rules

so.....looking through the book, I don't see any chapter numbers...

Does anyone have any suggestions? I could post a reading schedule but I'm not sure if Chapter names are repeated

How is everyone reading this one?

I have a hard cover physical copy

Is anyone audio? kindle? or does everyone have a hard cover too?

I don't have my book yet so I don't know, but I'll try reading it however anyone wants to set it up.

Ugh I haven't had time to read yet but I'm planning on getting to it soon!

I think I'm going to DNF this because I just can't seem to get into it. This is really disappointing. I thought it was going to be good and I was really excited to read it but now I'm just really disappointed.

it's a bit intense at first. How far did you get? I'd say I'm through the first part and only started to really get the hang of it in the last chapter or 2. The names and the italicized words are a bit distracting

I was almost done with the second chapter and I thought it was getting better but it wasn't. I just don't see myself finishing it and the book has a lot of bad reviews and I can see why now.

I liked that small look into him talking with the other guy. also of letting us know the story of the 2 boys and the fathers. it looks like the emperor is definitely the reason she was attacked (but whether it was his sons, his wife, his mistress of him himself - I don't know yet. lol (hide spoiler)]

Mariko(view spoiler)[ she is resourceful but I like Wolf's description of her. that she has been coddled and doesn't know hot to take care of herself. I think that's true and part of Mariko's frustration.........that she doesn't know so much that she wishes she did (for all she's tried to learn, she was still "just a girl" and couldn't learn what the boys did. I really like this one so far!

WOW, this one was a solid 3 stars until about the last hundred pages! Loved this one!

Mariko(view spoiler)[ I love that they accepted her, met her in the woods (and that the woods accepted her!) LOVE that Ranmaru knew she was a girl from the very beginning and had helped lead her to safety.... (hide spoiler)]

BUT(view spoiler)[ who is this extra wolf? the one that met with the Empress?
I wasn't sure who it was - but I did know it would be one of them. I can't believe the Empress killed the Emporer....just like that

but it really was the consort who started all this and attempted to kill Mariko and has Amaya (hide spoiler)]

Wolf(view spoiler)[ I have no idea what it means that they are going back to the castle together
Will she really marry the other guy and the Wolf will just stay and protect her? I can't imagine Mariko marrying that guy.... (hide spoiler)]

Kenshin(view spoiler)[ I was so so sad that he was so twisted - I know that Mariko was blinded by her dad but only because she was shielded. I feel like Kenshin should be seeing the truth and not just what his father is feeding him.....
I hope his love for Amaya doesn't sway what he is willing to sacrifice but clearly.......it is (hide spoiler)]
