Watcha Reading in May/June

Reading the Wheel of Time aloud is a daunting task. I've read everything but the very last book of the series and I know that there are a couple (3?) books in the middle that don't do much to move the story forward. But... I know how great it gets after that hump so push on we will!

Reading Lolita in Tehran: A Memoir in Books (other topics)
We finished the audio version of The Mysterious Benedict Society. I enjoyed it immensely. The characters were as cute as can be. The plot was a wee bit predictable in parts, but following as the characters use their unique abilities to work through problems together was charming. I am interested in listening to some of the sequels and I desperately hope the narrator is the same - he has a perfect Burl Ives grandfatherly voice.
My hubby is reading The Shadow Rising out loud and we made a bit of progress. Our group of heroes has fragmented into smaller groups spread all over the land. Perrin has returned to the Two Rivers after learning of some attacks on his hometown. Rand, Mat, Egwene, and Moiraine are in the Aiel Waste with Aiel Wise Ones. Elayne, Nynaeve, and Thom are on the hunt for Black Ajah. Lastly, Min has travelled to the White Tower. I'm on pins and needles waiting to discover what is next for our greatly varied cast of characters.
I'm still slogging through Reading Lolita in Tehran one paragraph at a time. My pace is akin to wading through swampland while wearing weighted boots. Onward I march.
