Chris Galford (galfordc) | 30 comments Familiar with r/fantasy? No? Well, that's ok--the thing can get more than a little muddled. But someone on there has been doing their homework, and I have to say, the results are quite impressive, giving us a whole database/spreadsheet of Female Fantasy Authors. Just found this the other day, and as an avid reader, the results made me downright giddy. The columns even offer other recommendations based on the style of the author in question.

Extra points for easy hunting therein.

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1013 comments I'm one:) Although the gender of the author shouldn't be a factor. A book is good or it isn't regardless of what the author keeps in their underpants

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1013 comments I'll bet if someone made a male only it would be deemedn sexist... a list of authors is useful to have, though.

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1013 comments Mine are Fantasy/ Fantasy Romance. Yes I agree Sci-fi was a male dominated genre. Incidently I have a male author friend who writes romance (from a male POV). He has experienced the prejudice from the other side.
