Rebellious Writing discussion

I'm Gray Marie, I blog at graymariewrites.blogspot.com
I love this movement, (obviously). And I look forward to meeting all of you lovely folk! :)
And I guess I should put more about me, so I'm a cat-loving, coffee-drinking, Southern author! YEP. That's me!!!
I'm Raevyn--you can call me RS if you want, since that's my author name, but I'm more used to my real name. :D
My blog is Clean Media Reviews.
Besides writing, I enjoy music, animation (that other people make--I can't animate anything myself), and cooking.
Up until a few months ago, I didn't care whether my Media was clean. I never wrote bad things myself, but the books I read had some content, which I shrugged off. Then, it was as though a switch was flipped. I was convicted by God! Now, I mark down all the inappropriate things I read or watch in order to warn others.
I'm the author of a short poetry collection, two short stories, and one piece of flash fiction (even shorter than a short story)--I wish I had fleshed it out more, and I'm planning to make it the exclusive prequel to a full-length book someday.
Although I'm in public school, I'm definitely a homeschool advocate. I've seen the "other side", and I know its problems too well to send my kids there when I'm older.
I have three main ambitions for my life: Homemaking, writing, and possibly being a voice actress.
I think this is long enough...Thanks for reading!
Hi everyone! My name is Catherine Hawthorn. I'm a gal in her early 20s who's currently a grad student by day and a fiction writer by night. I love traditional skills such as cooking from scratch, needlework (knitting and crocheting) and farmwork. My favorite reading (and writing!) genres are historic fiction and high fantasy. I blog over at The Rebelling Muse (catherinesrebellingmuse.blogspot.com).
I'm probably waaaay to old to be here, but I love YA, and desperately want to share positive messages about faith and show what healthy relationships look like. And I want to join the Rebellion, I mean come on! Sign me up!
I'm a homeschooling mum from New Zealand, who is addicted to peanut m&m's, married her high school sweetheart and loves action-packed fantasy with strong heroines. I'm so excited to join you all!

Nope! No one is too old to be here, that's preposterous! Welcome, Sarah!!!
We have grandmothers and mothers following us as well as young teens. Genres don't have age limits and neither do we :).
I love strong fantasy heroines too :).

So, anyway, hi! I'm Rachel Kovaciny, known as Hamlette to some of you. I'm married with three kids I homeschool, and I'm an author. I blog at Hamlette's Soliloquy (about movies, writing, and life) and at The Edge of the Precipice (about books).
Hobbies? Reading books, writing books, watching movies, baking, cooking, crocheting, sewing, gardening, singing... and is eating chocolate a hobby? It should be.
I'm drawn to the Rebellion because I love words and I love people. And I want words to be used to help and nurture and entertain people, not to hurt or mislead them.
In my writing I use my dreams to flesh out the stories.
ALL MY WRITINGS ARE SQUEAKY CLEAN!
Hobbies: WRITING! Music (I play the piano and keyboard), singing (I still have stage fright and nervousness, so I only sing in my room), reading MYSTERY books, baking and cooking, and sometimes I go outside at night when I want alone time.
What drawn me into this group?
I'M ADDICTED TO WRITING!
I use dreams as well :) Sometimes they pop up during the worst times...
Good luck with your mystery series!
Catherine
My fantasy genre for both reading and writing is FANTASY, and fairy tale retellings are my favorite things. In fact, I'm writing a fairy tale retelling of my own XD
God bless!

Other than reading and writing, I enjoy playing the piano, doing school (most of the time - I'm a homeschooled junior and enjoy almost every subject except for math), and hanging out with friends.
Anna wrote: "Hey everyone! I'm Anna, and I blog at annasfamilyblog.blogspot.com. I love to write (and currently have close to 15 WIPs, all in various stages of plotting/writing/editing, which is kinda scary). I..."
Yeah, math is the bane of my existence, along with IEW, but still. XD

My name is Libby and I am the creator of a girl named Bethany Rebecca Brown and goes by B.R.B. I write about her on my blog Geoturtle.com and share crazy ideas on life, the Bible, book reviews, randomness and some of my own personal writing.
I really like to crochet, read, and write. I have 42 journals, one complete novel and two in working progress. I'm not published but I have some of the best friends in the world.
I heard about the rebellion way back when it just started on Gray's Rant. Glad I could join. :)
You crochet too? Awesome! I haven't picked up my hooks in a while - been too busy with school, but would love to get back into it again!

My name is Sarah, and I just wanted to say that it makes me soooo happy to see a group with a passion for clean, morally acceptable books! I am super excited to join in on this group. :)"
Hi, Sarah! Welcome!!
We're super excited to get to know you. ^_^

I love clean fantasy too 💓

Thanks!! I'm excited to be here :)

I joined this group because I started writing for the same reason this group was founded. Because I was tired of all the smut put in YA these days. So I decided to write some books to get some clean YA out in the market. A shout out to Ivie who recommended this group to me :)
I like YA, fantasy, and really any genre in speculative fiction.

Hello, everyone! I know I'm a bit late to join this group, but better late than never, right?
My name is Zane Jones, and I'm a fifteen-year-old writer, reader, and blogger. I love journaling, crafting, graphic design, and several different forms of dance (primarily English Country). My blog is Simple Impossibilities.
I LOVE what Rebellious Writing is doing. I hate not being able to just pick up a book at the library and read it, and being nervous about the content of books, or having to put down a book because of content. I hate not being able to read books that have great writing but are chock-full of inappropriate and unnecessary things.
As a writer, I hope to produce well-written books that can be enjoyed by all ages, without worrying about inappropriate content. :)

I believe in taking every thought captive to obey Christ. That includes genres!

I'm a homeschool graduate in her gap year. I am recently new to the novel writing world, but I love the movement of writing clean YA literature! I've started a few stories in the past for fun, but now I'm working on my first novel. I blog over at www.homeschooler4jesus.blogspot.com
My hobbies include (but are not limited to), singing, theatre, coloring, writing, reading, and having fun!
Is there anything else I should post here?? hm...
I guess that's it for now! Have a great day and God bless you!
I didn't know you were starting to write!! That's so cool! You must tell us all (both in blog and here) one of these days!!

So, I just got a Goodreads account, and thought it would be great to join the Rebellious Writing group. :) Better late than never, right? :))
I've been following RW ever since it started back in August, and I absolutely LOVE what y'all are doing to promote good, clean YA literature. :)
So, I'm an aspiring indie author, proud geek, calligrapher, and avid reader.
Thanks again for such a wonderful movement! <3

Hey Mariah, welcome to the group. I probably have two or three dozen journals that I write in XD I think it's just a trait of being a writer.
Hi! My name is Abigail Lennah, and I blog over at ups & downs. I enjoy writing, theatre, hanging out with my friends, and munching on chocolate. Anna from A World Through Her Heart actually drew me into the Rebellion officially when she asked me to help design the site, and here we are! I can't wait to meet you all!
