Ala Hi,

I've been reading a lot of contemporary romance books lately and I find I much prefer the slow building approach to a romance. I like it when there is time for character development without sexual tension. I love books in which I wonder if there is even going to be a romantic development at all.

If anyone has any recommendations for slow building romances, or just really good contemporary novels I'd be grateful!

Here are some that i really liked:
Me Before You
One Plus One
The Sea of Tranquility

Ashley You'll love Eleanor & Park! After I read The Sea of Tranquility, I couldn't help but notice the relationship between these two books are actually quite similar! Eleanor & Park is quite a popular book, but it's amazing and the romance is to die for. It's utterly adorable.

Cyana Scriptora I really liked Hopeless by Colleen Hoover.. The relationship builds in a similar way. Holder is very much like Josh.

Lyanette North of Beautiful is another great contemporary romance. It's not one of those romances that completely overwhelms the book with intimacy as its main focus. You really get a chance to see the romance between the two characters grow.
