Andie (thebookheap) | 208 comments My favourite Austen is actually Northanger Abbey, followed by Pride and Prejudice in second place. Northanger Abbey takes over for me because of the great sarcasm within the book (and who doesn't love Henry Tilney?)

Renee Nicole | 3 comments I have to agree Northanger Abbey is one of my favorites. It's been a while since I have read it, but I still remember how I felt the urge to gossip about everyone in Bath, well... mostly Catherine.

My favorite Austen book has to be Emma. This novel was so very hard to "get into," but once I did I couldn't get out! The development of most of the characters, especially Emma herself, reminds me of P&P. She perfectly captured a naive young woman's misconceptions of love and relationships. If this is an Austen book any of you haven't yet read, you must be sure to add it to your must read shelve.

Andie (thebookheap) | 208 comments Hahaha yes, it's great how you, as the reader, get so sucked into the mysteries that Catherine believes in so much.

Emma I struggled so much with, probably because I've only read it once and that was when I studied it at A level. Emma isn't a very likable character but I know that Austen wrote her with that intention. Definitely need to re-read that one at some point
