What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

A teenager and her little sister go missing in the 70s. A woman is driving down the road and her car crashes or something and an officer comes to help her and she tells him she's one of the missing girls. At the hospital she tells the detective her story and the detective has a partner who's kind of a womanizer if I remember correctly. I think the book cover is in the woods and there's a girls body laying there but you can't see the face, just the legs or something like that. I really want to find this book but I just can't seem to remember the name or the author for the life of me!
