The The Dragonlover's Guide to Pern is a nice exploration of SF dragons.
Over at the Space Opera Fans group, we have a couple of threads going about the science behind SF. Come join the discussion.
I'm new to GoodReads - starting to think I'm a bit late to the party! :o
What a comprehensive list of books, that's going to keep me busy for hours.
I thought I should introduce myself because I'd like to become active here and hopefully there will be a fair few people who will be interested in my blog. I started it as a way of getting inspiration for my SF and fantasy writing, by taking a close look at the science behind successful SF and fantasy concepts and tropes from mythology. So if you're interested in the workings of 'hard' science fiction, or are just curious about how dragons and fairies would work if science allowed, I'd love if you took a peep and left me some feedback!
The blog's titled 'Novel Ideas' and I'm also bumping around on facebook sharing more things of a science/literature inclination.
