When rogue packs of wolf-hybrid soldiers threaten the tenuous peace alliance between Earth and Luna, Iko takes it upon herself to hunt down the soldiers' leader. She is soon working with a handsome royal guard who forces her to question everything she knows about love, loyalty, and her own humanity. With appearances by Cinder and the rest of the Rampion crew, this is a must-have for fans of the series.

Ch. 2 (view spoiler)[ Iko is so badass, seeing her fight the wolf soldiers was awesome! I hope I get to see the rest of the crew in this book :) (hide spoiler)]

Ch. 3 (view spoiler)[ I think this Lysander brute is misinformed. Cinder never said she was forcing the wolves back into service, just that they had to come back to Luna. Honestly, if she knew it was possible she would totally have them all reverted back to their normal selves. Iko, Thorne and Cress better watch out! (hide spoiler)]

Ch. 5 (view spoiler)[ Cinder is right to go for a republic, Luna needs that and a leader who can't be manipulated or manipulate others. Also I loved Thorne's speech. Hope Cress is all right. Thorne's dad seemed like a real ass at first. (hide spoiler)] This is making me want to reread the series so much!

Ch. 6 (view spoiler)[ If Steele thinks he can go after Scarlet and Wolfe, he's got another thing coming! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 1: (view spoiler)[

Now I have never read a graphic novel in my entire life. So, I had no idea what to expect from Wires and Nerves. All I know is that I should probably read more graphic novel to change up my reading material every now and then. Also, I had no idea how badly I missed the Lunar Chronicles.



So far I'm in love with this and I only got through the first chapter. I loved Iko in the series and I'm hoping Wires and Nerves will make me fall even more in love with her. Also, she is super badass. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 2: (view spoiler)[

Yes, I know Iko is not the Terminator (I'll be back) but you have got to admit that she would be an awesome person to track the Lunar Army and capture them. And since I already read the first chapter--I know that she can and will succeed.

Other than that I loved see all of the characters in this chapter from the Lunar Chronicles.



Now I really do miss all of them: Scarlet, Wolf, Winter, Cress, Thorne, Cinder and Kai. I'm happy we got to see a glimpse of them and find out what they are currently or have been doing within the time frame of Cinder being the new Queen of Luna!! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 3: (view spoiler)[I do love a good villain and I hope that alpha lysander steele will be a good one. Planning to go after the Iko and use her as bait for Cinder but then to have that plan fall to pieces must have sucked for him. BUT now he's onto plan b which is to go after Cinder's other allies and use them as bait.



I wonder if they can actually be transformed back into their old selves.. or at least a different version. I wonder what will happen to Cinder and her friends. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 4: (view spoiler)[

Cinder misses all of her friends! I miss them too but I'm really proud of what Cinder is accomplishing up on Luna. She has told her council she wants to transition their government and council from a monarchy toward more of a democracy. She wants the elections where people can vote for the new Queen or King of Luna (like what we do for Governor, Mayor, President, Vice President, etc.) However, there is a catch for people who want to run in the election--they have to have a chip installed so that they can't use their gift to manipulate people into voting. She doesn't want any to become another Levana which I definitely approve of. I absolutely hated Levana and I like how Cinder is looking ahead and trying to protect the people of Luna and their futures.

Side note: When do I get the family reunion of everybody?!?
Or at least a Cinder and Kai reunion?!?! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5: (view spoiler)[

That chapter was jam packed with a whole bunch of shit happening. The alpha pack is back and they interrupted Thorne's 'Thank You' Speech while crashing the party at the same time. But he also talked about his plan to use Cinder's allies against her.. Now I don't know why the villain always over explains their plan but I guess it works for them.



So then Iko and Thorne team up and take down some of the hybrid lunar wolf mutations, except for the alpha steele guy who got away. I love how awesome these characters are so far. I am actually thinking about re-reading this series now!!

Also I hope Cress is okay!! And what is she sick with now?!?! (hide spoiler)]

I am so happy Cress isn't hurt or taken hostage!! I'm also happy that she is so freaking smart! I love her and Thorne together--they are so freaking cute.

Iko is such a fucking badass and that chat between her and alpha steel was a little funny. Well, at first...like when he was eating while she had a knife to his throat. And her little crush on Kinney is so freaking adorable!!! I want Iko to find happiness and love too!!

AND WHERE IS MY FREAKING REUNION OF EVERYONE?!?!

WHAT. AN. ENDING.

For this being my first graphic novel ever I am beyond happy. This was such a quick and easy read! I loved getting to know the characters from the series even better. I like the romantic tension between Kinney and Iko. I loved the comments made by Thorne because he can be so funny sometimes.

I'm also really happy to see a glimpse of Kai!! I wonder what they found about Iko back in that lab though.

And I love Alpha Steele! He is such a good and mysterious villain!! It makes me think.. hey is it true that they can be transformed back? Because I don't want to think about the endless situations, drama, and deaths that might occur if it isn't.

I really want the next part now!! I need more!! I don't think I can physically wait until January for volume 2!!

Alaina- you should check out Naruto, that like a huge manga series. So many volumes. Another series I liked was Fruits Basket and Tsubasa but I didn't finish that one.

And if you want to reread the Lunar Chronicles we totally should do that in November.
