Michael had made sure Zana got to class early with him so they could prepare their lesson plans. Both of their cheerful natures were either gone or had turned serious as they wore lab-coats and business-suits; Zana had her hair in a ponytail for once.
“Can we start now?” She asked eagerly, bouncing on her soles. Michael shook his head.
“Be patient. Honestly. No students have even arrived yet,” He handed her a stack of papers. “Go put those on every desk,”
“Okie-dokie!” She smiled and started to do just that.

Jackson wandered into class. He was never big on potions like his sister. Which was close to chemistry in his book. But he had to take it with everyone else.

Tyler walked into class next, taking a seat near the teachers as he nodded at Jackson. His own powers were considered to be a form of science, he supposed, and it couldn’t hurt to learn more about substances that could make his blood more acidic or safer.
Maria-Louise shyly wandered into class, her hands folded up on her chest. She still wasn’t used to classes due to not having had tutors for a long time, but she knew it was for the best and was forcing herself to adjust. Still, nothing was preventing her from sitting in the back.
Lavender walked in next. She had very brief stints with scientists and chemists in her past, so she figured she knew more than most of the other students. Still, she could always learn more. She sat close to the teachers, knowing they’d help her if something went wrong.

Alveyra was a woman of science. And divinity. And witchcraft. But definitely science! She had collaborated with numerous scholars to attempt to reverse-engineer ancient technology with little success. She hoped this class would help her understand what she was missing.
Dahlia walked in and sat beside Jenny, though she hadn't met the girl before. She smiled politely and pulled out her book along with a journal for notes.

Lavender smiled nicely at Dahlia. “Hello love. Your flowers are very beautiful,”
Zana glanced around the room. “Is this enough people yet? Can we start the class yet?” She asked, feeling both eager and nervous.
Michael nodded. “I believe this is enough, if you’d like to do the honors,”
“Okay! I’m Miss Deltorna, but the different kind from the engineering teachers! They’re my family! Oh! Welcome to Science class. I want to start you guys out on something simple today, so no experiments,” She pouted to herself. “So on your desk is a sheet of paper. I want you to describe what science means to you and what sorts of scientific advances exist in your world. And what types you would like to learn more about in this class!”
Michael nodded. “And if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask us. Science can only be as clear as the mind of the person performing it, after all,” He slipped a jelly-bean into his mouth.

"Thank you," Dahlia said, touching her colorful flowered head band. She looked at the front to watch the teachers introduction, finding it a bit chaotic, but she liked teachers like that. They made things interesting.
Jackson leaned back in his seat, feeling this class might be more than he bargained for.

“Now I wish I put some flowers in my hair,” Lavender smiled, wearing a simple gold hair-piece. She then started to work, remembering her old world was quite stagnant and had remained in the Industrial Revolution for centuries.
Tyler remembered the technology in his world as being more of a dystopia. The government controlled and produced everything while the citizens experienced very little. Still, it was likely more advanced than some worlds.
Maria-Louise frowned at her paper. What kind of science did they have in her old world? She had no idea. She mainly just remembered medicine....that counted as science, right?

Alveyra started scribbling on her paper. She didn't realize it but she was writing a mixture of human languages, Elven tongues and the language of the Dwemer, mostly made up of strange pictographs, not characters like the other languages she studied.

“Then you talk about how scientific advancements have changed in the years you have been alive. Surely this world wasn’t stagnant like some others, correct?” Michael responded.
"Well, I suppose. I guess I'm just not familiar with much of the scientific aspects; at least not as much as the magic ones that look like science," she said slowly.
"I'll try though," Dahlia added before using her flower patterned pencil to write about her favorite class- cooking. After all, it was science to cook.
She also knew that the mechanic shop in town used science, like the engineering class. There were some vehicles in town, however she didn't think the lack of cars was due to lack of science. It was more because lack of space.

Jackson started to write down the parts of his world. The wizarding world relied on magic for all of their science; even potions was big on magic. The muggle world however had lots of scientific advancements, like vaccinations and new ways of growing crops.

Maria-Louise finished first but felt awkward about announcing it or standing up, so she remained sitting there. She started to stare at Alevyra’s paper in wonder, since she had never seen such symbols and pictures before. She wondered what they said.
Alveyra raised her hand. "Will we be working with technology powered by magic in this class? That was the centeral.theme of my research at the College."

“A little bit. Our goal is to talk about science in all of its forms, as science means different things and is powered differently in various worlds,” Michael explained, popping another jelly-bean into his mouth.

Zana was snuggling with a yellow teddy bear at the front when she noticed a few people staring at her. Immediately she sprung to her feet. “Is everyone finished filling out the question?” She asked curiously.

“Great! Then....I’ll collect the papers!” Zana begun to do just that.
“As an introductory course, I will just briefly run-down the different forms that science can take. Nothing too complex on the first day, just a brief word on each one. I am assuming from the looks of you that science in your own worlds isn’t too different from the general idea,” Michael commented, slipping another jelly-bean into his mouth.

“No. I have to eat these,” Michael responded quickly before he went over to the board. “If there are no-more questions, I’ll begin,”

Lavender sighed. “I don’t think this is really the best time to describe this, love,” She said calmly as her scent changed.
“Because I need to. It keeps my hormones in check,” Michael started to write some things on the board.

“I performed an experiment on myself, and as a result, my hormones and estrogen are all out of whack. Sugar is a natural neutralizer and thus I eat a lot of it to keep my body working as it should,” Michael continued writing on the board. His eyes were twinkling with the excitement of...something.

“Many people believe science and chemistry came from the study of alchemy! That’s mixing things together to try and make gold!” Zana took over happily. “Many were unsuccessful but the combination of different properties and chemicals gave birth to other things. Chemical reactions and the like,”

"As technologies became more advanced, that's when other types of science began to take form, such as the aforementioned chemistry and also biology, astronomy, geology, health, meteorology, engineering, and so forth," Zana continued. "And yes, even now, the best way to differentiate between worlds is how advanced their scientific development is. Each world is different and even Ente Isla is no different in that regard,"
"Ente Isla?" Jackson commented to himself. It sounded familiar to him and might have heard Mrs. Harmonia mentioning is when he'd met her. ((Emi))

Zana nodded. “And Hellsalem’s Lot and of course Val’JaLon. All of these places are defined by the level of science they have. I say you could recognize a world just by their advancements!”
"Scuse me," Alveyra raised her hand. "You seem to know a lot about advanced cultures. What happened to the Dwemer? Surely you know of their technological innovations, right?"
Jackson prepared his notebook though he was not entirely looking forward to this at all. It was already dragging.

Michael finally finished writing on the board and shook his head at Alevyra. "No, I don't think any of us know that. Your best bet would be someone from your own world, if they attend this school as well,"

"Are there any other questions?" Michael asked instead, scanning the class.

((Ooooh that'd be fun. Maybe an experiment like one I did in eighth grade where we contained gas/air in a bottle and made the cap pop off))
((Maybe find a gif lol. For the demonstration? Or word it really well. Then all the students can try it.))
