When Lisa fills the balloons at the party, she was sending a subtle message to Mickey that she indeed had killed Mitchell Bondurant. Why was it so important to her to flaunt this in Mickey's face? Your thoughts about his ultimate delivery of poetic justice for her?

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I was kind of lost as to why Lisa would flaunt the balloons in front of Mickey. I also thought it was a little bit of a reach that Mickey thought her ex-husband was buried on the property. I wouldn't be surprised if she killed him, but what made Mickey decide he was right there?

I mentioned she was a sociopath and here's the definition:

a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience.

Remember, she had Mickey severely beaten when all he was trying to do was help her. She knew he didn't particularly like her, thought he was smarter than she was so filling those balloons and looking upward was her way of showing him she was definitely smarter than him. Yeah, that was bright.

When Mickey realized she'd done it, all those questions he had about her husband suddenly were answered. I think it was clear to him that the body would be buried in plain sight as that would be so Lisa.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments You're right. She was a sociopath. That would probably make her want to show that she was smarter than everyone else.

On a side note, she was a teacher, right? Did they ever say what she taught? Was she laid off or what happened to her job?

Yes, she was a teacher. She lost her job after she kept taking time off to demonstrate in front of the bank.
