Fantasy Buddy Reads discussion

I'm trying to keep track of it all here, though I must admit I am easily distracted and can't keep myself from beginning new series. I do try and finish, but sometimes I feel like that's a battle already lost.

I don't like to say I abandoned something and I don't like to DNF things either... so I added a "Maybe" category.

I did, however, remove all the series I'll never be continuing.

Nice list. You might want to break a series like Mistborn into eras like most of us have. I consider era one completed and era two up to date. When era three comes out that will be like a new series.

Even First Law I threat the trilogy as one series and the singles as a second. It makes it easier and is more rewarding to finish it off.

Makes sense. I was wondering where to stop with Mistborn. I'm generally bad with finishing... so... that'll make a few things easier.

That and you can take a break. I read MB era one a year before starting Era two.

Good luck Olivia you seem to be doing okay so far and read most of the incomplete but still going series but haven't finished them yet but I can say books like codex Alera and faithful or the fallen gets really good and I still need to read hero of ages but well of ascension is REALLY good hahahaha though I would give you some encouragement there hahaha

That's probably because most are still on my tbr list and I'm at risk of randomly adding them xD

You and I are at the same spot for Dresden, Mistborn and Demon Cycle. So if you'd like to tackle them together let me know!

I think I'll need some encouragement for the 2nd Mistborn because I wasn't the biggest fan of the first. But yes, if you want to read any of the books hit me up! I'm usually pretty flexible.

If you finally read A Dance with Dragons I suggest to read it with in combination with A Feast for Crows (just google FeastDance reading guide) because both were meant to be one book. Good luck with the rest!

I thought all of era one where 4-4.5*. I had all of era two at 3.5*. However I know a lot of people who I generally share a common opinion of books with who were the exact opposite. The two eras are quite different in feel. Era two is definitely a more whimsical steampunk feel to era one's epic dystopian. I wouldn't hesitate to
take it on if I was you.
