Yaay! Today's the day - so excited to get reading this book!! Who else is planning on starting soon?
I have started :D I read the first maybe 50 pages ages ago so I'm rereading them and now I know what to expect I'm not as puzzled about what's happening.
I mean I'm still kinda puzzled because my brain doesn't know how to imagine singing/tunes but ah well XD

This was actually what I struggled with the most! I used to play piano, but it's still sort of hard to imagine some of the stuff they're talking about.
Omg the language is killing me guys. I'm now at page 115 and half of me is like yesyesyes I must know what happens next. But the other half is still trailing behind, finger on chin trying to work out what on earth is actually going on. I'm particularly enjoying my moments of confusion when I've gone to define a word I don't recognise only to realise it's a musical term, even though I also play piano *THE SHAME*
I have just umm... been replacing the words I don't know with ones that make sense in that context 😂 I may be creating a whole new storyline guys WHO KNOWS 😅
There are so many cool releases coming this month but I'm excited to read The Chimes I mean:
The Chimes is set in a reimagined London, in a world where people cannot form new memories, and the written word has been forbidden and destroyed.
In the absence of both memory and writing is music.
In a world where the past is a mystery, each new day feels the same as the last, and before is blasphony, all appears lost. But Simon Wythern, a young man who arrives in London seeking the truth about what really happened to his parents, discovers he has a gift that could change all of this forever.
Do we have a thing for re-imagined Londons... I mean maybe but who can blame us
