Kate sits vigil waiting for Decker to be wakened from his coma. Did you understand her connection to him after their brief encounter?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I think that, under the same circumstanceds, I would have been sitting there, too.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments She had very few other connections in the city and no other relatives herself. She didn't want to be alone and when she found out that Decker had no one else, she decided that she would be there for him.

I thought that was the connection...that he had no one and neither did she until her partnering with Deacon. Kate knew that desolation and just stepped up.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 52 comments Agree with you Anita and Jonetta. This is often how Karen Rose sets up her couples. Yes, she feels lonely and a little lost herself and in addition he still has information about the case which hasn't been totally resolved.

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 15 comments I felt she saw/felt a kindred soul who was alone and at the moment helpless. I believe she hoped someone would do the same for her if positions were reversed. And the romantic side of me will say fate - they were fated to be together.
