OK, I'm onto Chapter 6 so I can finally stop avoiding this section at least. :)

I really hope Chaol can be healed and hopefully Yrene can put aside her differences. Yes, I can't wait to see what happens with her.

I won't be too bothered if Chaol and Nesryn end up not being together- though I do feel bad for Nesryn being miles from home and not being able to do anything to help her family.

So many new characters, but I'm interested to find out more. Oh, and I love the new map- maps are always a bonus for me haha. :)

I agree about the whole parallel timelines thing– at first I was annoyed that the wait extended (also because I've always felt lukewarm toward Chaol), but I'm loving the new characters and world we get to see. I feel like we needed time to go back to the less-Fae aspects of the series if that makes sense? Don't get me wrong, I love Aelin's court and the cadre, but it's nice to see a bit more of the politics of the world and the lives of "normal" people.

Katherine I think Kashir is my favorite so far. I wonder how many of them will stay alive by the end
