Speaking of inspiration, one of my favorite quotes is the Japanese proverb:
"Fall down 7 times. Stand up 8."
Maybe Ed knocked you down recently. What matters is that you choose to stand. We can choose recovery in each and every moment. Any other favorite quotes?

This is a great song. Another good one is "Before the Morning" by Josh Wilson.

"You are allowed to be sad. You are allowed to be scared. You are allowed to be confused. You are allowed to be weak. You are allowed to ask for help. You are allowed to let it go."

Thanks Jenni! I will definitely look! I'm excited to see all the other songs and things as well. Music helps me so much
Oh wow, this is great! Love the music angle...even started a new thread for this: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
And, I am going to TRY my best to post an image. Thanks for figuring that out! Appreciate the image you shared as well.
Confused on one thing: how do I create a web address for a pic? Yes, I am a bit technologically challenged. :)

Working on putting directions together for the pictures, Jenni. :-)
If you see a bunch of posts from me here, it is because I am working on this.

Find the pic you want to post. Right click on the pic, and click "copy" (do not click "copy link").
Come back here to your post, and type:
< img src=
Take out the space between < and img, but leave the space between img and src.
After the = immediately right click and paste (or you can hit control v), and a web address should appear it should look something like this (without the space between < and image):
< img src=https://i.pinimg.com/564x/2a/d7.jpg
Immediately after the web address put a >
< img src=https://i.pinimg.com/564x/2a/d7.jpg>
All that's left to do is hit "post"
Somebody, give this a try, please, so I know I made sense. Thank you :)

Thank you! I did it! This worked. The only thing I had to do different was select "Copy Image Address" instead of "Copy Image." I use a Mac and Chrome, so there are probably some differences. So excited...I can't thank you enough, Heidi. Images bring this page to life!

Thank you for sharing Melody. I love that Recovery Record gives so many quotes and pictures each day. I just started using it, I think it was 2 weeks ago not? I don't remember, about the same time Jenni started this group. I think it is a great app, and a nice way to allow clinicians to see how you are doing.

I have some great inspirational quotes on my phone that would be nice to share on the threads, but I can't figure out how to get them on Pinterest. I have posted some in the Photo link for this group, but I would really like to post some to the threads. Any help is appreciated. (Jenni, feel free to move this, if you'd rather it go on a different thread).

I love this pic, Jenni!!

Hi Christina,
Facing our fears is very scary. Like Melody mentioned take it one bite at a time, moment-by-moment. You are brave and you are much stronger than Ed. Jenni posted a pic in the photo section with a great quote about fear. Unfortunately, since I'm on my phone, I can't get the picture on this comment, but you can find it here:
https://www.goodreads.com/photo/group...
Have you tried some guided meditiations before bed? Maybe a guided meditation will help relax you so you don't have the nightmares. There are some on YouTube if you don't have any.

Thank you so much Melody and Heidi for your responses. They have been very much appreciated. Meditations have been very helpful and I’ve also been using essential oils to also help. I did attempt the food challenge with my dietician, I ended up crying and didn’t get very far. I think if I can figure out a way to get in even 4 bites, that will be progress.
My meal plan also was increased today...that scares me too. My dietician reminded me that I’ve had them many times before and I found a way to manage. I need to find a way to talk back to ed. I have a hard time managing change big time and even just little things like the time of a dr appointment being different than the typical time. I’m trying to be patient with myself and not to dwell on any of it, it just so happens that dwelling and thinking is what I do best.
I hope to have a relaxing afternoon, keep reorganizing my crafts, read and watch a movie :)

Wow...you are so strong, Christina. You CAN do this. Being scared is part of the process; that means that you are doing something right. You are moving forward. I am so proud of you!

Again, I am so proud of you. You are taking the hard steps. One step at a time, things will get easier. Eventually, recovery will just be an integrated part of your life. You won't even have to talk to Ed anymore. Stay strong.

Hey there! Here is a blog post I just wrote about relapse. Sometimes, we don't think we are making progress, but we are...

It's a work in progress!!! I'm realizing that maybe this post should have been in the other group...sorry!
Hi Christina- Thanks for posting! You did post within the group! 🙌❤️Keep fighting. Stay connected with support. I'm proud of you. It sounds like you are working super hard.

For a while I was listening to positive self-esteem guided meditations on YouTube every day. Then I stopped, and I think it is something I need to find time to do again.

Christina, I am so proud of you for attempting the challenge and getting those two bites in!! You did great!! You are so much stronger than your ED, and you can get through this. Keep taking it one day at a time. :-)
