Janet, ironically, I'm currently reading The Day of the Jackal. Pretty good so far.
I'll nominate A Simple Plan. I saw the film years ago and thought it was pretty suspenseful, so I think it would make a good nominee. Not sure if that is enough of a sell.

I like that it is set in another era.
Since no one else is nominating books for this poll, I'll make a nomination. I would like to nominate Gorky Park by Martin Cruz Smith. It has been sitting on my bookshelf for far too long and I need an excuse to read it
