So I've been working on this one for a while, and this should give me an incentive to finish!

It's great. I watched the first episode of the series as a re-run on HBO, then bought the first book as an e-book and was hooked.
I love the world-building and all those characters. Of course, that means I love to hate some of the characters. There are just so many.
I'm most interested in Arya, Dany and her dragons, Tyrion, Jaime, Sam, Catelyn, and Lord Varys (though I haven't seen a chapter from his POV).
It's been interesting to see the differences between the series and the books. So far they've been pretty close, with a few differences.
I'm wondering about Rickon, the youngest Stark, as I haven't seen anything on him in quite a while. I guess he's been reserved for the future.

I've almost finished listening to the second one on audio and I think I should have read it instead. Trying to keep track of all the characters on audio and not being able to go back if I get confused or miss something has made me not enjoy the story as much I think.
I will definitely be physically reading the third one next instead of listening to it just to see if I can get back into the story a bit more and not be so confused!

I'm in the middle of the last book, but I need to get back into it.
Did anyone else end up reading this book? I'm thinking of starting the third one sometime soon and can't wait to see how the series will further develop.
