What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

FOUND! "Dear John" by Lyn Ellis
Genre- Romance
Plot Details- This girl who was in an accident and is scarred all over her body is depressed and her friend who's husband is in the military has a friend he is serving with for her to meet and I believe his name was John. So John and the scarred girl ( cant recall her name) starts to write letters back and forth to one another the whole time and she exaggerates about how beautiful she is inside the letters. Then once John comes home from the army he and the girl decide to meet up and he meets her right after getting off the plane but doesn't recognize her because she doesnt look like she described herself as in the letters. They end up getting together and keep going back and forth of breaking up and getting back together because she is self concious and thinks shes not good enough for him and all. Thats about all i can remember about the book. My friend has been really wanting to read it again and her birthday is coming up in a few months so i have been trying to track it down and get it for her. If anyone can help me figure out the name of this book I would be very grateful. Thank you guys in advance!!
Also the book cover had a letters and a soldier and dog tags on it. I had thought the title might of been "Letters to John" but iv had no luck in finding it under that title
