Chu becomes frustrated with Harry and leaks information about the Irving case to an LA Times reporter. What do you think he hoped to accomplish? Is his relationship with Harry permanently damaged?

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I think he was frustrated with Harry continually shutting him out of the case and ordering him around without telling him why he is doing certain things. I know I couldn't work that way. I'm not sure what Chu hoped to accomplish other than making it harder for Harry to run away with the case. I think Harry has now forgiven Chu, but he won't forget what he did.

I got why he was upset but I don’t know what he achieved by leaking the case. Nope, Harry definitely won’t forget.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments While I understood his anger at Harry for leaving him out, going to the reporter was way out of line. He should have spoken up to Harry not gone behind his back! He jeapordized the case with his actions.

It reminded me of Jerry Edgar going to the lawyer (Honey whose last name I forget) and giving her info on Harry.

Like with Edgar, Chu took steps to rectify and Harry forgave him but will not forget (as Jonetta says).

Thanks for the reminder about Edgar's betrayal. Seems this happens a lot with Harry’s partners. Even Kiz had the same issues but never tried to tank him or his cases. But, she disappointed him more than these two ever could.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments Maybe Harry shouldn't have a partner, just a bunch of junior detectives who he can assign to write a search warrant or wade through information. To me, a partnership means they will work together and not keep the other in the dark while he goes off on his own chase. I know that both Chu and Kiz are younger and less experienced, but I don't think they'll get a lot of experience being told some things after the fact.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I agree Robin.
Harry is very much a lone wolf and tends to keep his partners in the dark. He does not play well with others.

I agree, too, but think this habit started with Jerry Edgar when Harry often couldn’t find him.
