Six books down. One to go. I'm not too sure how much new their is to say at this point. I like the Jake and Callahan chapter/stanza, probably because we didn't hear from them much. I lost some of my momentum reading the book in the Susannah-Mio internal dialogue chapters. The whole thing had very little drama and just dragged on, and the premise of the whole thing is a baby from demon rape, so the premise of the plot would be that you're essentially looking forward to the birth (or abortion/infanticide) of that.
The biggest change that has happened is that the author has made himself the centre of the story. I'm not sure how I feel about that, or at least I don't want to say too much until I see how it all plays out. But, my gut feeling is not to like it. I think I might not be a Stephen King fan. If I'm just airing grievances I'll also say that I didn't like the commala songs, the meter was off.
