2018 Mythic House Challenge Signups

Please read all the below posts for information on the houses, member lists, and how to earn points for your house. This house system is based on the the sacred animals of Japan and China.

This challenge will be in effect from Jan 1st 2018 to Dec 31st 2018.
You will earn points for your houses based on other challenges in the group. See below posts for details. Cross posting to this event is not required. Once you post participation for the other events, this one will be updated.

From now on, please just post that you would like to participate and you will be sorted. We might do a more detailed form next year and I will get one posted onto a website to make it easier.

*Submit your books to your House Point Thread and the MODs will take care of the rest. This is a breakdown of how you earn points.

- Monthly Challenge Participation
Throughout the 2018 season, there will be monthly challenges. Point system is as follows

^ Monthly Team Challenges
1st place teams: 50 points per person
2nd place teams: 25 points per person
3rd place teams: 10 points per person

^ Monthly Solo Challenges
1st place solo: 30 points
2nd place solo: 15 points
3rd place solo: 5 points

- Total Book Count
*Points per completed book (regardless of place): 10 points
*Points per completed graphic novel (regardless of place): 4 points

^Yearly Totals:
1st place: 100 points
2nd place: 80 points
3rd place: 65 points

- Buddy Reads

^ Generic Buddy Reads: Double Points
* You must post at least 4 comments in a BR thread to earn points.
* You must finish the book to earn points.
20 points for Normal Books (each participant)
8 points for Graphic Novels (each participant)

^ House Buddy Reads: Triple Points
* You must post at least 4 comments in a BR thread to earn points.
* You must finish the book to earn points.
30 points for Normal Books (each participant)
12 points for Graphic Novels (each participant)
Note: All participants must be in the same house.

- Book of the Month Participation
* You must participate in at least one BOTM thread to earn points.
* You can earn the below points on every BOTM.
* You must post at least 4 comments in a BOTM thread to earn points.
5 points for posting (4 comments minimum to earn)
25 points for finishing a BOTM (submit to your teams point thread)
