Okay, I only just started, but I love the way that when she's describing how she has to relearn everything she says "I don't know nothing". Great way to emphasize the point.

I really wanted someone else to finish this and then this dropped off my feed so I didn't see it.

I thought this book had a problem with getting anywhere. What happened over the course of the book could have happened much more quickly, and then more could have fit into the book. It was really interesting, though. That would be so horrible to have your life erased like that.

Sorry Trisha, I kept forgetting to look up how to do spoilers. (view spoiler)[ More could definitely have happened. I liked this book, but there just wasn't enough happening. AND. How the hell did she not notice that "Dad" was the one passing things along? It was SO obvious! It's one of those times you really want to smack a character. I loved the book, but I'm SO not paying $10.99 per book for the next two. I think I'll check the library and it won't be a high priority. Also, in the description it says that the government said she was a terrorist, did it ever actually say that? And once she got all of "Lucy's" memories back, couldn't it have given us some info? It's just like "Bam, got my memories back and now I'm completely changing my mind about everything I thought 10 seconds ago, but I'm not going to tell you why." It was a bit frustrating. This is one of those books that it's obvious that the author intended it to be a series and dragged it out to make it three books. But all of that complaining aside, I really did enjoy it. I wanted more answers, but that's the way things go with first books! (hide spoiler)]

It was really enjoyable Vicki. I didn't think it was perfect, but I did like it a lot.

I am only 10 chapters in so I'll wait to read spoilers and post until I'm done with the first 20 chapters.

I must say though that Mum (view spoiler)[ sure does seem like DRAGON LADY so far. She seems so cold and unattached! Yeah, like who'd feel comfy in that home? (hide spoiler)]

I also wonder if Kyla (view spoiler)[ has known some of the people new in her life before. She seems to possibly know others. (hide spoiler)]

One character that I love so far is Amy because she (view spoiler)[ really seems to be genuine and appears to truly care about Kyla. I think she really is happy to have a sister. She has touched me. (hide spoiler)]

Also WHY would Mum care if Kyla (view spoiler)[ wants to read OR do her artwork? I'm baffled! Something more than meets the eye has to be going on! (hide spoiler)]

Oh, and Kyla was in the hospital (view spoiler)[ longer than others. She's "special" or "different." It seems that she possibly does have some of her memories left. Are her dreams memories? Repetitive dreams can be indicative of something you either fear or have been through. Hmmmm (hide spoiler)]

I agree with you, Trisha. Kyla is being (view spoiler)[mistreated by her mother and the school in particular. And that girl who tripped her on the bus. Mean girl! (hide spoiler)]

I kind of think that Ben (view spoiler)[ and Kyla have met before. She might not "remember" specifics but too much seems to be ingrained in her mind. I like Ben so I'm hoping there is something there. (hide spoiler)]

I think her dream about (view spoiler)[ building the wall must be significant. She must have another life from before that somehow blends with some of the things/people she sees. (hide spoiler)]

I am curious what is up with Phoebe and how she can (view spoiler)[talk to the robins. Is that something significant? Why would the Lorders take her away? Did she do something? Did they somehow know that she told Kyla that she's a spy because of a chip in her> (hide spoiler)]

At the end of ch. 30 why is Ben (view spoiler)[running like the devil? And where are all the missing children going? Is the government taking certain kids for specific reasons and slating them? (hide spoiler)]

I thought her dream was (view spoiler)[ showing that she had built an internal wall that allowed her to save who she was. Something that couldn't be wiped clean. (hide spoiler)]

Amy was a really amazing person! I really liked her. I also like Mum because I thought there would be more to her than met the eye.

As for Mum (view spoiler)[ allowing her to do her artwork, I think she was worried that it would show that some of her personality had remained intact. Mum was trying to keep her from getting sent back, I think. (hide spoiler)]

I wonder why this is even being done to people. Some of the offenses seem to be very minor. I don't understand.

I Loved this book! I can't wait to read book 2!! The events that happened at the end left me saying OMG! What next?

At first I thought that Mum (view spoiler)[ was cold-hearted and rather detached, but she wasn't what I thought. She turned out to be caring and Dad turned out to be more scary. He's willing to send her back? (hide spoiler)]
