Den of Geek wrote up a story on which fantasy book series would be able to rival Game of Thrones' place as a fantasy TV adaptation. The Kingkiller Chronicle is on the list (of course), along with nine other choices. Do you have other series you want to see make it to the TV screen?

Ben Rosner | 3 comments The Gentleman Bastard Sequence by Scott Lynch could be a good TV show, if done correctly of course.

Carter  Kennell | 2 comments I recently just reread the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini and I believe that would make an excellent TV show. The world is well built and varying languages would add the authenticity that shows like Game of Thrones creates with different regions of the world. Obviously the story is familiar to some well known Movie trilogy, but all the more reason a TV adaption would work.

I just finished the Emperor's Blades trilogy, while not as encompassing as Game of Thrones, could make for a good TV show.

Kayti Burt | 57 comments What are you all thinking about the announcement of a Lord of the Rings TV series from Amazon? I am definitely waiting to hear/see more about this before making any judgments, but I tend to be pretty chill when it comes to adaptations.

I did see someone on Twitter pitch a Great Hobbit Bake-Off in the style of The Great British Bake-Off and I can say that I would, unreservedly, be on board with that. My favorite part of the entire Hobbit film trilogy was the plate-throwing musical number.

Dominique (freedominique) | 3 comments I am late to the discussion but I think The Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson would make the best tv series! In my opinion, it would be even greater if it was done in Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender drawing style. Fingers crossed someone from TV sees this comment lol

As for the LOTR TV series... I feel like we've overdosed on LOTR in general but I guess... I don't know... I don't really want it but if I get it I guess I'll watch it? Not super enthusiastic about that...

Jessica I would love to see someone make the Angelfall series by Susan Ee. It’s such a well told story, and the author doesn’t make conventional choices.
