Lisa (Athena) and Gary and Wyatt (Alchemists - sort of) - Weird Science
Alice (Athena) and Umbrella Corp and it's various scientists (Alchemists) - Resident Evil movies
This month's book pick fit really well into a role playing campaign I am running. It is the Dracula Dossiers, basically the premise is that Bram Stoker's Dracula was a public consumption version of the after action report from MI-6's attempt to recruit Dracula. So fast forward to 2017 and MI-6 is now on their 4th attempt to recruit Dracula, he survived Van Helsing et all's attempt to kill him in the 1890s. The "full" version of Dracula is available at http://site.pelgranepress.com/index.p....
So here is my plan to include both the Athena Club and the Alchemist's society into my current campaign. First, the scientists were using the same seed that gives Dracula his powers to do their experiment. So in that all the "monsters" are the legacy of Dracula. So I plan on having both the Athena Club and the Alchemist's Society still exist in the campaign.
My question to the group here is are there other "monsters" who would exist from a fictional reference who would be alive in 2017 and fit well with the Athena Club. My campaign is being run as a Science Fiction campaign as such all powers need to be explainable as "plausible" science. Preferably also connectable to the legacy of Dracula.
2017 Members of the Athena Club
Lucy Westenra (She survives with the help of Dr. Seward & is still a vampire)
Justine Frankenstein
Beatrice Rappaccini
Others?
2017 Members of the Alchemist's Society
I don't have any yet, but random scientist 1, 2, 3, ... , X will work fine here.
