Friday
Spent 7.5 hours in the car today to do what should have been a 4 hour journey. Still it meant I listened to a lot of Peter James.... A crime fiction author pretty new to me.... But now totally hooked.... Oh and revisited the excellent Vish Puri first story.... Case of the missing servant. This is one crime fiction series that is truly fun to listen to.

The Periodic Table: A Field Guide to the Elements 8 pages (p.70)
Reaching Down the Rabbit Hole: A Renowned Neurologist Explains the Mystery and Drama of Brain Disease 12 pages (p. 146) ..... House without all the sulking, addiction, staff relationship problems and rudeness.
Mad Mary Lamb: Lunacy and Murder in Literary London 9 pages (p. 212)
The Red Canary: The Story of the First Genetically Engineered Animal 12 pages
Swann's Way 20 pages ..... Yep still slowly slowly ploughing through this in a very desultory fashion.... Rather like Proust himself?

Once the thread is posted in book Chat, make sure reply to the event or put your name on the thread if you would like to be included. If you simply stumble onto the thread, then please, join in!
As for the last read-a-thons, better to keep track of all numbers, we change the first post we write in the discussion, so each of us has only one and not 2000 as before!!!!
*An easy way to keep track is using the Currently Reading feature on Goodreads, entering your page number at the end of each day.
**For those who read by eReader, take the page number which shows for paperback/hardcover here on Goodreads for your total. Calculate by percentage to work out your page number read.
***For audio listeners, check out how many pages the book has on Goodreads, then divide that number by how many CDs or hours it is to give you an idea of pages per time.
If you respond 'Yes” to the event invitation , please don't forget to list totals in the October Read-a-thon thread in Bookchat. Don't forget to post your totals of daily or full weekend tally on the thread.
