Transgressive Fiction discussion

Anybody read this book? I have just started it, it is very brutal, wasn't expecting this when I started, no idea why seeing as 1984 is brutal too.

This book is def gotta be included in the transgressive genre.

Good read so far.

This was really good, somewhere between Henry Miller and Charles Bukowski.

Will have to give Wigan pier a go next.

I loved 'Down and Out in Paris and London' Jason. It's my favourite Orwell. Enjoyed the first half of 'The Road to Wigan Pier', but the second half is mostly quantitative analysis if I remember correctly.

Was really expecting that 1984 would have been my fav Orwell but this one kicks ass.

Will only read the first half of Wigan pier then.
