The Trylle switch their babies out with the humans, supposedly for them to get an education and a trust fund. Yet, they take in the human child to raise, educate and give a trust fund to. Why do you think they do that? Why do they parent the manks and not their own?

I'm not sure I could've either, but there are alternatives. Boarding school? Orphanage? Drop off at a fire station?

Nina (ninaprasad) | 7 comments It was kind of strange to me that they would keep both kids around because isn't that double the expense? And highly improbable that the Manks would not go seek out their original family.

Was anyone else bothered by the fact that these trolls give up their babies for money?
