What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I know I posted before but got no help. It starts with the man making love to another one in the woods. he wants to merry her but she lies to him and tells him her father wont let her. He then agrees to merry a women he is told is ugly but he finds her to be petty. they get in to a fight in the garden and he hits her. on the wedding night he forces her to have sex. I think his family is living in the woods as some outlaws not really sure on that. I believe he kills someone in her family for locking her up and they run and hind with his family in the woods. I got the book from the library about a year ago not sure when it was written or what the cover looks like.

Sounds like parts of the Velvet series by Jude Deveraux.
