I just downloaded the e-book. I liked the Hairdresser from Harare, so I'll probably enjoy this one as well.

I made it through this. It felt like an uphill battle... I hate books about men feeling sorry for themselves and doing nothing about it, and this kind of pushed those buttons for me. Full review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... (mostly spoiler free)

I just finished the book. I especially enjoyed how the struggle of refugees/immigrants is integrated in the story, in different aspects through the various characters. The storyline is surely less straightforward than the (very) predictable Hairdresser from Harare, and contains quite some surprises, not in the least at the end. I did like those turns.
