In November, we will be reading our oldest ARCs. In the event that you're finished with your oldest one, read the next oldest one.

Please tell me what book you picked so I can put it on the group shelf!

Mar at BOOKIVERSE (bookiverse) haha this is EXACTLY what I need to do. Ok I'm trying these three ARCs again for like the fourth time :)

The Orphan's Tale

The Wolf Road

The Gilded Cage

fingers crossed ;-)

Karen (karenblue) This is a great idea. My oldest ARCs haunt me every time I check in on NetGalley.

Suspicion

A Doubter's Almanac

Gambit

I never even picked these up but I sure had no problem requesting them. Thanks for the motivation. I will add these to my list for State of the ARC.

Sascha This is also the month of nanowrimo, so my reading is going to be limited. I will try to read 3 old arcs (eeks).

Jade Lady Burning
The Last Detective
Rock Paper Tiger

Hopefully this will be enough incentive! Thanks. :)

Lauren (Northern Plunder) (northernplunder) Okay do I pick the oldest ARC I received OR the oldest published ARCs I own?? Hmmm

message 7: by Katie (new)

Katie Harder-schauer | 2 comments Apparently I need to read Black Earth: The Holocaust as History and Warning by Timothy Snyder.

If I have time I'll also be reading This Is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp.

message 8: by Sheila (last edited Nov 02, 2017 01:54PM) (new)

Sheila G (pastthepostlude) So I'm choosing my oldest ARCs by the date they were approved - not the date they were published as some were before I was approved for a copy. Anyways, my picks include:

Dragons of Dark (Upon Dragon's Breath, #3) by Ava Richardson Firebolt (The Dragonian, #1) by Adrienne Woods Tides of Change (The Atlantis Chronicles #1) by Susan MacIver The Fallen Kingdom (The Falconer, #3) by Elizabeth May Descent (Son of a Mermaid Book 1) by Katie O'Sullivan

I hope to get to more, but we'll see.

So cool everyone! I have to say though, this time I'll be adding the books when you say you've finished, cause otherwise I have 50 books on the shelf of which I have to remove 40 later :D so I'll add it when you tell me you've finished. And why do I add it rite group shelf? Well, basically to brag that, for example, last month as a group we read 17 ARCs!!! Although I think it's probably more because not everyone notified me they finished :D so isn't that cool!!!

Gemma (bookmoodreviews) | 5 comments Ok I have two books that have been taunting me for ages. These are Uprooted by Naomi Novik and Twelve Kings in Sharakhai (The Song of the Shattered Sands, #1) by Bradley P. Beaulieu

Katie (katiejudgesbooks) | 8 comments My two oldest ARCs are Nadya's War by C. S. Taylor and The Mapmaker's Daughter by
Katherine Nouri Hughes. Have lots of them to read though!

Grace (turnspageslowly) | 13 comments My oldest ARC is The List by Patricia Forde , The List, by Patricia Forde. If I finish this one, I'm going to attempt to tackle The Shadow Land by Elizabeth Kostova , The Shadow Land, by Elizabeth Kostova.

Caro | Mintcolouredpages (mintcolouredpages) | 4 comments My oldest ARC is Literally Me by Julie Houts and I hope can finally finish it because I think I can only read it on my laptop and I hate doing that :'D

I also hope to start with Forest of A Thousand Lanterns now that I also have a physical copy lying around

Katie (katiejudgesbooks) | 8 comments I finished and reviewed Nadya's War today! :)

message 15: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (mvalente89) I'm going to focus only on my Netgalley titles for this as that's pretty much my focus until the end of the year to get my ratio up.

I have 4 titles left that pubbed in 2016 which I'd like to get to this month.

Missing, Presumed (DS Manon, #1) by Susie Steiner A Christmas Day at the Office by Matt Dunn Hard Road (Jon Reznick, #1) by J.B. Turner All the Breaking Waves by Kerry Lonsdale

I should be able to start the first one (Missing, Presumed) this week after I catch up on reviewing some other books I've read recently.

message 16: by Sascha (new)

Ooh, Grace - you've got The List! I've heard good stuff about that one. And the rest of your books also look cool! I have finished my first oldie, it was so dark though... About the middle ages and the plague. The funny thing is that the second oldest one I have... is about an epidemic of cholera xD so... basically the same :D and I don't really want to read such a downer again xD

message 18: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (Northern Plunder) (northernplunder) Okay so I think I've finally decided how to approach this theme because its pretty open.

I've gone with my physical review copy of Later with Myself: The Misadventures of Millie Moskowitz which i received in 2011.

The Bloodprint which is my oldest phyiscal ARC i got this year

Renegades which is my oldest eARC from NetGalley this year

and if i still have a copy of it Rape Girl which is my oldest eARC from NetGalley in 2012.

So yeah I'll aim to read some of these :D
