Liz (ladyflintsoms) | 7 comments Too many books! But I'm pleasantly surprised with My Cat, Yugoslavia so far. After reading the reviews I expected clever, non-story writing, but it's good writing and an interesting story (in the first 100 pages). My Cat Yugoslavia

Also excited to begin Ta-Nehisi Coates' We Were Eight Years in Power We Were Eight Years in Power: An American Tragedy

Patricia | 20 comments I nabbed Vulgar Tongues: An Alternative History of Slang and I'm really enjoying it. There's history, etymology, and culture all wrapped up in one. And just wait until you get the the part about what "fanny" means in British English slang versus American English slang!

Linda (lindapsy) | 3 comments I'm in the middle of The Leger Connection by Estelle Ryan, have just started Origin by Dan Brown and must start The Mapmaker's Daughter by Katherine Nouri Hughes for my nook club. Guess I'll sleep next month.

Annice (asevett) | 37 comments Over the weekend I finished Uncommon Type: Some Stories by Tom Hanks (yes, that Tom Hanks). I am not usually a fan of short stories but I loved this collection. If you can get your hands on a copy, I definitely recommend it.

Danielle | 2 comments I'm currently reading Voyager! I imagine it'll take me the majority of the month to read it (and I may gain some arm muscles from lifting it ;) )!

Also this month, I've already read Tell Me Three Things and We Now Return to Regular Life. Both fantastic YA books that I highly recommend.

Meaghan (meagkay) | 3 comments I just finished Allegedly. I'd been curious about this book for a while, and it was worth it.

Annice (asevett) | 37 comments I started a new mystery series this month by Arnaldur Indriðason. He is an Icelandic author and his books are very popular there. The first book, Jar City was excellent and I just finished the second book in the series, Silence of the Grave. The books are well written, the mysteries keep your attention, and the detectives have interesting back stories that are mentioned throughout the books. I can't wait to read the next one in the series.

Liz (ladyflintsoms) | 7 comments Just started The Tiger's Daughter The Tiger's Daughter (Their Bright Ascendency, #1) by K. Arsenault Rivera ARC. It hasn't grabbed me, yet, but I'm going to keep on with it.
