Yep, I started yesterday. I was actually just getting ready to comment :) The world they live in is pretty interesting, and history of The Others is different. I like Meg...She seems like an interesting mystery.
The Others are an interesting group. Usually paranormals don't live together cohesively. Simon seems to have a tight control on them. They have a efficient way of getting rid of problems. Megan is on the run. It will be interesting to see how she fits in this world.

Let's just say you don't want to provoke them. I'll stop at that since I've read the series so I don't remember how much the first book covers them and I don't want to spoil anything.
Tess is one scary lady but I like her. What is she hiding? Meg is making friends with everyone. She is shy but when provoked she has a backbone.

No kidding! That's how I see her ending, lol.

Finished. I really liked this book. The world setting is different. I love the take on wolves and vampires. Some of the writing/word choices got on my nerves a little bit, lol...but I can overlook that because the story was interesting.
Asia didn't end up being special meat but she got what she deserved. Tess is one scary being. I would want to be on her good side. The Elementals have some serious power. The humans who thought they could win against the Others are crazy. I really enjoyed this read.
Have you already read this whole series? I would keep reading this, but if you already read it we can pick something different.

No, I haven't read the whole series. It was on my to finish list. Do you want to start the next one Monday?

Yeah that be fine. We can either change the thread name to the new book or just change it to the series title. That would work.
It makes me sick how people justify the enslavement of a group of people under the guise of protected them. WTH! No, it is for money and sick pleasure. Those people deserve what is coming to them. HFHL will not like the outcome of their war with the Others.
HFHL are so sick people. What they did to the cassandra sangue to make the drugs beyond disgusting.
I finished. It was an enjoyable read. The relationship between Simon and Meg is adorable. Will it become more than friendship? I'm interested to see what will happen in the next book.

Lol, whatever it takes :)
Finished. I liked this one, too. I hope we get to see more of what happens to the girls.

The HFHL have stepped up their vile tactics. They have no clue that they will never win. It is interesting that the blood prophets are learning new ways to see the future instead of cutting.
I got a late start, but I’m catching up. The HFL will get their karma.
We never really did talk about the the last book. I was so sad when Crystal died!

It was so sad. It was the first time we lost characters we liked. It was then we saw their vulnerability.

Yes, it would not have happened without Meg.

Yes, they did. Now the Others are trying to pick up the pieces. Without Meg it would have turned out a lot different. I like that the Blood prophets are developing a new way to see the future without cutting. I am enjoying the development of Meg and Simon's relationship.

Lieutenant Montgomery’s brother is going to be a problem. How is that going to effect the fragile relationship between the Others and the humans at Lakeside Courtyard?

I was wondering after the last book if he would show up there.
I also am not sure I trust Shady...Burke's brother? We don't know much about him.
