Chrissie | 1529 comments I thought that in this thread we could help each other by listing the different names one narrator uses.

message 2: by Chrissie (new)

Chrissie | 1529 comments I will start with the first as an example: Wanda McCaddon goes by two additional names:

Nadia May and Donada Peters.

If she goes by even more names please let us know. I used Google Search to find the third name.

Chrissie | 1529 comments I searched on Google but could not find the other names Simon Vance uses. Could somebody help me?

Simon Vance also goes by the name Robert Whitfield and Richard Matthews. Thank you both, Faith and Tracey.

I wrote it in here to keep things neat.

Tracey (stewartry) | 196 comments This is a great idea, Chrissie, thank you. I'm going to go see if I can find something to add - but in the meantime, I am wondering about the narrator of the book I just listened to. His voice was familiar, as though I've listened to several books by him before - but I don't know the name Edoardo Ballerini. Anyone know if it's a pseudonym? ETA: According to a search, it's not - so now I wonder if he *uses* a pseudonym.

Robert Witfield

Tracey (stewartry) | 196 comments Ah - there's an old thread about this in another group -
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Simon Vance has a post here - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
- in which he divulges a couple of names he's used: Robert Whitfield and Richard Matthews

I don't know how many of these are 100%, or just "I'm really pretty sure!", but here's what I harvested from that thread - -

Anna Fields – Kate Fleming
Jennifer Van Dyck – Genevieve Bevier
Bianca Amato – Rebecca de Leeuw
Kate Reading – Jennifer Mendenhall - MAYBE
Julia Whelan – Sophie Eastlake
Hillary Huber - Elizabeth Livingston
Joyce Bean – Jane Brown
Grover Gardner – Alexander Adams, Tom Parker
Wanda McCaddon – Nadia May
Simon Vance – Richard Matthews
Tavia Gilbert – Kelly Fish
Emily Shaffer – Suzanna Duff
Gabra Zackman - Isabelle Gordon
Therese Plummer ~ Savannah Richards, G. C. VonCloudts
Karen White = Caroline Ryan
Johanna Parker - Charlotte Kane
Candace Thaxton - Shayna Thibodeaux
Eve Bianco - Alexandra R. Josephs
Tanya Eby - Tatiana Sokolov
Susan Erickson = Kelly Gregory
Grace Grant = Madeleine Maby
Piper Goodeve - Summer Roberts
Elizabeth Louise - Rebekkah Ross
Abby Craden - Alexandria Wilde
Summer Roberts - Piper Goodeve
Tristan James = Christopher Johnson

Davina Porter apparently also used Violet Primm, but only once.

Tracey (stewartry) | 196 comments What I'm morbidly curious about is what name is used by serial killer Ed Kemper ... He famously narrates books "for the blind", so I'm assuming they're on Librivox. I don't know if I could stomach listening to one, but I weirdly want to know.

ETA ... maybe not Librivox... https://web.archive.org/web/201507040...

It is nice we can all help each other.

I think that is his real name b/c his parents are called Luigi and Julia Ballerini .

Chrissie | 1529 comments Tracey, wonderful! I didn't know Grover Gardener went by Alexander Adams and Tom Parker too.

Pamela Beverly (writesistah) | 2 comments I, for one, would like to know the reasoning behind using multiple names.

message 12: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 1947 comments different genres, the fear of being typecasted (oh person so and so only does mysteries); maybe someone who narrated erotic romance under one name and kids books under another

message 13: by Jeanie (new)

Jeanie | 4024 comments David Case is also Frederick Davidson.

In addition to the reasons Dee gave, it is also because in the past publishing companies had the narrators contracted under one name, but they could record for someone else under a different name.

message 15: by Chrissie (new)

Chrissie | 1529 comments Thanks, Jeanie. I couldn't remember for sure.

Hi Tracey, this is Aurelia. Edoardo Ballerini (what a great name!) is his real name and as far as I know, he uses no other names. Here's a link to his AudioFile profile, which tells you all about him and includes a listing of his narrations: http://bit.ly/2zOZ8FY. I'm currently enjoying his performance of THE QUANTUM SPY by David Ignatius.

Hi Tracey,

Aurelia here. Yes, Kate Reading is Jennifer Mendenhall. Thanks for doing the list!

Tracey, I believe he used his real name. I doubt you would find any of Ed Kemper's books on Audible and he (as far as I know) has never read for LibriVox. Apparently he was a prolific narrator, though.

I agree that it is creepy!

Crispy Greg Tremblay = Greg Boudreaux

Specs Bunny (specsbunny) | 494 comments Thanks for starting this Chrissie and thanks everyone for contributing to this. This will make looking up a name much easier having this thread.

Thank you! He sounded so very familiar... I wonder who he reminded me of.
