The group voted to read the Fantasy nominee, All the Birds in the Sky, in December. The winner for this genre was Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One and Two. Have you read any of the other nominees for this award? Which have you read and what did you think? Which was your favorite?

Do you plan to read any of them in the future? How about setting up a buddy read of one that you are interested in this month? Use this thread to discuss and find a buddy!

Schedule buddy reads here, then set up a separate thread to discuss.

I have read Fire Touched and Staked. I generally keep up with those two series, but now that I'm at a point where I have to wait a while between new releases I'm not quite as interested as I used to be. Or maybe it's just that the series are getting up there in numbers? It's probably a combination of those two things. I still enjoy them both though.

I also read Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts 1 & 2. I thought it was good when imagining it as a play. I loved the Harry Potter series and this one doesn't stand up to the novels in the series, but I thought it was entertaining enough.

The only other one I plan to read from this list is A Gathering of Shadows and maybe Age of Myth and Every Heart a Doorway at some point.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I want to read The Paper Menagerie and Other Stories, as well as catching up on the Mercy Thompson series.

Vicki Willis | 1033 comments I read Feverborn and keep up with that series as soon as they come out. The first 5 books were some of my favorite books of all times for series.
I feel like I am into too many series already to start a new one unless it really grabs my interest and most of these are series. I think that is why I don't read a lot of fantasy.

Janina (sylarana) | 692 comments I really like the Divine Cities series (haven't had time to read the latest installment though) as well as The Others series. I loved both City of Blades and Marked in Flesh. Haven't read any of the other books.
