So, I'm not saying this section is basically for my own gratification, but, OH MY GOD....
...The Lies of Locke Lamora, how much did I enjoy thee, let me count the ways.
Seriously, it's very fun. If heaven isn't a fantasy Venice (without the stench) then I don't want to go.
It was a bit of an odd sort of book in that the story was engaging and well written (very strong world building), but it didn't really grab me until towards the end, but when it did grab me, oh boy, it was by the lapels!
Perhaps it was because I found Locke hard to like until, like a many a terrible ex, I was smitten by his high maintenance ways and general aura of vulnerable bastadry.

We read a book as a group every month, which is all fine and dandy, but perhaps you're reading/want to read/have read/assimilated by osmosis a book that you're dying to talk about?
Find a buddy here!
List your book, and let the chatting begin: here's a place to talk at length about books that aren't the main pick.
One small rule. Spoilers ahoy, just let the good folk know they're inbound.
