Personality: Cheerful, joking, diplomatic, but can be cold and deadly.
History: Began to train as an assassin with her older sister, but her mother - who was loyal to the True Queen - chose to remove her from assassin training and train her as a Lady's Companion. Disagrees with her father and older sister A LOT.
Loyalties: Queen Lydia
Abilities: Well trained with daggers and a crossbow, martial arts and stealth. Also knows how to dress and behave like a court lady.
Likes: Dancing, hand-to-hand bouts with Lydia, chocolate.
Dislikes: Those who oppose her Queen, mice, snakes.

Personality: Scornful, sarcastic.
History: Trained as an assassin from the time she was young. To serve her king and serve him well has been her goal and desire from the time she could understand it.
Loyalties: King Bryce and his father. She would betray her own family in her loyalty to them.
Abilities: Skilled with daggers, fencing blade and broadsword, darts, crossbow, longbow, stealth. Okay in hand to hand combat. Specialties are darts and stealth.
Likes: Peaches, Swimming, spying.
Dislikes: Her sister, Lady Lydia, dogs.

Name: Princess Nicole
Age: A lady never reveals her age, but of the age to be considered young and naive

Family: Father and mother (the king and queen of Ethuria), three older brothers (the heirs to Ehuria) and an older sister engaged to be married to the heir of the kingdom that is Ethuria's neighbor
Personality: Nicole is a little absent minded and accident prone, sweet and mild mannered, but she is also dedicated and knows her duty
History: Nicole is the youngest princess of the far off land Ethuria and so did not have very much use there. Thus her parents sent her as an emissary to this land to make alliances with the new rulers (or perhaps someone who will be more sympathetic to Ethuria than the current ruler), to spy on the land, and poison whoever stands in her way
Loyalties: Ethuria and anyone who would help benefit her land
Abilities: to speak to animals (a trait found especially in Ethurian royalty), concoct expert poisons, and also she has a pet baby dragon that she keeps on her person at all times
Likes: animals, beautiful landscape, and handsome courtiers
Dislikes: people trying to kill each other (if you are going to go through the effort then you should succeed the first time), snobbish people who don't like foreigners, and hard work

Nicole, has no loyalties that she reveals outwardly (a clever diplomat never does)

Name: Sir Ryder Rakewell

Appearance: long, windblown black hair and brown eyes
Family: Father who was executed
Personality: A debonair, flirtatious scoundrel who never takes anything seriously and rarely watches what he says
History: Ryder was the son of a prominent lord of Ethuria. He was a flirtatious rake who was always scandalizing the court, there were even rumors circulating that he was in a relationship with the youngest princess of Ethuria. However one day, his father was caught in an attempt to overthrow the king. His father was executed and Ryder banished from the kingdom never to return under pain of death. He was always an expert swordsman and so hired himself out as a mercenary to make a living. He has been hired by Lord Bryce to assassinate the Queen Lydia.
Loyalties: At the present moment Lord Bryce, but his loyalties are more changeable than the winds
Abilities: sword play, archery, flirting, and a disarming charm
Likes: pretty ladies, money, and besting people in witty banter
Dislikes: not very much, he's indifferent to all things

Name: Prince Hugh of Nom
Age: 20
Appearance: Wavy brown hair and warm brown eyes
Family: The royal family of Nom
Personality: Kindhearted and charming, but nobody's fool (except for lovely damsels)
History: The crown prince of Nom, one of the largest islands in the Trading Federation, Hugh is a knight of chivalry who seeks to someday rule his kingdom with the fairness of his father before him
Loyalties: Nom, and all damsels in distress
Abilities: sword play, and the inherited ability to control water and be healed by it
Likes: almost everyone and everything
Dislikes: Cads, rakes, and other such distasteful men, anyone who would take advantage of the goodwill of others, and anyone who does not follow the codes of chivalry
