15.1 - Don't Make Me Choose!
As many have noted, there are a lot of terrific nominees for the Group Reads for Winter.

Book 1: Read a nominee or the winner from a different category than you chose for your Task 20.10 selection.
AND
Book 2: Read EITHER (1) a nominee or the winner from the 3d category (not your 20.10 selection or book 1 selection) or (2) a nominee from the category of your Task 20.10 selection.

Nice one. There really were a LOT of books I wanted to read from the nominees this time!

Agreed! Though I only ended up wanting to read one of the winners - having no desire to reread the other two winners.

Is it ok to pick two nominees from two different categories for this task if you do not read anything for 20.10. My priority for this challenge was to try and complete the nickel and dimes , so I may not get to very many 20,25 or 30 point tasks.

yes. Altho, keep in mind that 15 point tasks don't help you with nickels and dimes!

just want to make sure I am understanding the wording- we can read any nominees or winners aside from what we chose for 20.10 correct? (the wording of book 2 isn't going through my brain for some reason)

For 20.10, you read the winner from one category - call it category 1.

For book 1 of this task, read a book from category 2 - either the winner or one of the nominees.

For book 2, read either a different book from category 1, or a winner or nominee from category 3.

Nicole, I struggled with this, too. I think the point is that you have to pick books from any two different categories for this task.
Book 1 of this task and book 2 of this task cannot be from the same category.
(But one of them can be from the same category that you picked for 20.10, if you want.)

Is that right, Sandy? And if in doubt we can always post what we plan to read for checking, right?

I plan to read Artemis (space opera) and Love Medicine (family saga) for this task (and Hidden Figures (non-fiction) for 20.10)
