Hi so I see a lot of people do buddy reads on here and I’m kinda new here so I’m not sure what they really are. Can anyone explain? They sound interesting if you just read the same book as someone. Would anyone want to do one with me?

Buddy Reads are just when you find one person or multiple who want to read the same book(s). I would love to do a buddy read with you I have a lot of books on my tbr list so let me know what you like and we will work from there. You can email me if you would like.

What Esther said. So basically it's like a mini book club and can consist of 2 or more reading the same book and you can discuss a certain amount of chapters or whatever you and the other(s) decide to do but yeah. I describe it kinda like a mini book club. 😊

There are some buddy read groups as well. I'm in a fantasy one. Someone wants to read a specific book, so they ask if anyone else in the group wants to read it too. Once they get a few people and set a date, the mods set up a discussion thread for it. It's great.
It's a great way to get discussion and interaction without always feeling bound by a whole group.

Based on your TBR, you might be interested in the group, a buddy read of A Song of Ice and Fire is starting next month. In April some of us will read The Way of Kings. The group is called Fantasy Buddy Reads.
