I checked the member list and it looks like the longest running member of the group has been here since 2008. I’m guessing this means the group has been around that long. So, how about a challenge revolving around the number 8 and the year 2008?

4. At the movies: ‘Super 8’ Read a book that includes aliens or book in which the main characters are under the age of 18.
5. On T.V.: ‘Eight is Enough’: Read a book in which one of the main characters is a parent or a book by an author of whose work you just can’t get enough.
6. 2008 saw the release of WALL-E, a futuristic film about love between two robots: Read a book set in the future or a book that includes robots or cyborgs of some kind.
7. Heath Ledger received posthumous acclaim for his portrayal of the Joker in ‘The Dark Knight’: Read a book with an villain you love to hate.
8. Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” debuted in 2008: Read a book in which the main character is female.
9. On most phones, the 8 key is associated with the letters T, U, and V: Read a book in which any word in the title begins with either T, U, or V. Please, do not count the words the or to.
10. There are eight legs on a spider and on an octopus: Read a book with a creepy (to you) creature of any kind.
11. There are eight sides on a stop sign: Read the last book in a series or an author’s final published work.
