It's getting closer! If the edges had come down to the corners I would take it but I don't see a true triangle yet.

message 28: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (an80slady6886) | 548 comments Jan - I have been listening the last few hours to My Name Is Mary Sutter and I am bored to tears. Could you please remove me from handbag or purse. I had this book on my TBR for so long, so I am really disappointed. Thanks!

message 29: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20734 comments Sure thing Kathryn! Sorry it ended up being a dud :)

message 30: by Barb (new)

Barb | 1621 comments Kathryn wrote: " I had this book on my TBR for so long, so I am really disappointed."

I'm disappointed too, as I loved that book :) But, as my mom is fond of saying, if we all liked the same things, the world would be a pretty boring place!

message 31: by Jackie (new)

Jackie Death of a Dapper Snowman (Stormy Day Mystery #1) by Angela Pepper

Death of a Dapper Snowman

Finished reading on 12/4/2017. I will continue the series.

message 32: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20734 comments Thanks Jackie! Though now I have another kindle unlimted series for me to check out.

message 33: by Jackie (new)

Jackie Jan, I know. I almost dread reading reviews and adding MORE books to my impossible tbr.

It sure would be boring. Guess that's why, there are so many books coming out all the time, we all like and dislike different things. And we can except that we will not always agree on books.

Barb | 1621 comments Kathryn wrote: "Guess that's why, there are so many books coming out all the time, we all like and dislike different things. And we can except that we will not always agree on books."

I wish everyone felt that way. I can't believe the readers I know who get personally offended if I don't love a book that they recommended :(

message 36: by Marina (new)

Marina | 327 comments If it's okay to claim an item after reading the book, I just finished Miss Kane's Christmas by Caroline Mickelson today and there's a handbag on the cover. I didn't say anything before I started the book since Kathryn had a book ready.

message 37: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20734 comments Thanks Marina! But to be consistent I had told someone else they couldn't claim an item on a book they had already completed. So let's keep the handbag open. I appreciate you checking though :)

message 38: by Marina (new)

Marina | 327 comments That's okay, Jan! I'll be on the look out for another purse or handbag :-)

message 39: by Margo (new)

Margo I'm just about to start The Surgeon of Crowthorne by Simon Winchester (my bookclub read). I'll take bird for the little penguin!

Jan | 20734 comments Appreciate the update Jillian :)

message 43: by Denise (new)

Denise | 2870 comments do street lamps count as "lamp"? Secrets in Death (In Death, #45) by J.D. Robb

message 44: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20734 comments I'm going to say no. Denise...I see the light from the lamps but can't really see the actual lamps very well.

message 45: by Margo (new)

Margo I finished The Surgeon of Crowthorne: a tale of murder, madness & the love of words. I didn't realky like it - it was hard work! More like a series of inter connected lectures than a book.

message 46: by Connie N. (new)

Connie N. | 685 comments I finished #3 - Wreath:

Margo Jan wrote: "Thank you both for your update! Sorry you didn't like your book Margo!"

I very much doubt whether many of my book club will have liked it either Jan!

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

Jan, I have a problem :D

I COULD read Ghost of a Chance by Cate Dean for "lamp" but the only cover available on GR doesn't show the lamp.

My edition is the current amazon one and it's a different cover with a lamp on it.. not sure what to do, here's the amazon link

message 50: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20734 comments I'll take it since I can see the cover on Amazon. Thanks for providing the link Rosa!
