It is a historical science fiction novel, based on events in Spain in the year 1212.

Please note for those reading my book that the Christian themes are subtle. This book (and series) is designed for unbelievers who have an aversion to anything Christian. In the second book in the series, a Muslim princess from the Empire of Mali becomes a Christian. So, Christian theology is more evident in the second book.
